Here is a book review that I read called A Mango - Shaped Space.
In the book A Mango - Shaped Space Mia has synesthesia. Since she doesn't want anyone to think she is a freak she doesn't tell anyone about her condition keeping it secret from all of her peers. But one day Mia is forced to tell her whole family about her condition, this rattles Mia's world and changes everything making her life even harder then it already is.
The Mango- Shaped Space was a good book overall. It helped me learn more about synesthesia in a way that was easy for me to understand. For example it was easy for me to comprehend. Also it was just a fun read in all. It had a great storyline and it kept me engaged during the whole thing. I would recommend this book to anyone researching synesthesia or just looking for a good read. This book would probably be good for people from 11-14 years old. This is because the vocabulary in the book is a little bit tricky. Otherwise this book is a great read!
